A family archive in the making
One name. A tree we are still drawing.
Every Šibonjić alive today sits somewhere on the same tree — we just cannot see the whole of it yet. This is the work of putting it back together: names, places, dates, and the lines between them, traced back as far as the records will allow.
The tree itself will not be public. It holds living people, so it stays behind a login and access is by invitation only — once you are placed on it, you get a way in. Nothing about you goes on the public side of this site.
Why we are building it
One tree, not many
Right now the family exists as a dozen half-finished trees in a dozen drawers, and nobody holds the whole picture. This puts every branch on one chart.
A way to reach each other
There are cousins two countries apart who have never met. Once you are on the tree you can see exactly who you are to someone — and, if you both want it, get in touch.
Before it is lost
The oldest generation still remembers names no document holds. Written down now, that memory stops being something we can lose.
